IMPORTANT! I'M MOVING!

Dear devoted followers,
I am slightly sad to inform you that HaliHannah is no more. I am moving my blog to another blog site that has more options for me. It's part of my online journalism course to sign up for the other site and it had way more options so I've decided to move this one over there as well. It's been nice to be on Blogger.com, but I feel I have outgrown it.
So farewell,
HaliHannah.

New blog can be found at: www.hannahbonk.wordpress.com
Also check out my new food blog (not quite fully loaded...yet) at www.hfxstudentgrubclub.wordpress.com

Goodbye Blogger, it's been real.

Sackville and Chili

Photos are in reverse order as per usual.. sigh.
Me and Sissy went to Sackville for the weekend to visit the Mann children. It was wonderful and lovely and all that. Sackville is a teeny weeny town, I looooooove it! We went to a farmer's market and went on a few walks around. We also saw a play, ate at Hilary's rez caf (omg so much food), and did homework at a cute cafe. Oh and we got to watch the extended edition of LOTR last night, sooooooooo delish.
Now me an Sissy are back at my house working on a massive pot of chili, hopefully gonna watch the game and do some homework as well.
Good weekend.
Only 3 weeks until return to Toronto :)

!

This is my pretty mama when she visited me in Halifax :) We had a good day shopping and eating and watching ridiculously overpriced movies in the hotel room.
Megan and Mama in the Public Gardens.

This is Meaghan and I on Halloween "party" night. Can you guess what we are??
I had to do a 52 second video for my Russain Cinema class. I hope this link works. If not then search "52 second film kill everybody" on youtube OR go to my channel, Boischebonne, to see it. I hope you like!

Propeller Brewery

Me and Bobby-Z chugging some Bitter (?)
Me and Bobby-Z pouring a pint behind the bar at the brewery

Me an Sissy behind the bar at the Propeller Brewery (yay!)
I have a feature story due on Monday for one of my journalism classes. I called my Pa to ask what I should write about and he told me to go check out the breweries. I enlisted Megan's help and we headed down to Propeller this afternoon to check out their Pumpkin beer. I asked the young guys/gals working at the counter if I could talk to someone - anyone - about the brewery and one guy went downstairs to look for anyone who was willing to come up and chat. He came back with two guys who introduced themselves as Bobby Zacharias and Andrew Cooper: the Production Manager and Sales/Marketing Manager for Propeller! (Score!) So we sat and chatted for a bit about beer and they gave me and Megan a 1/2 pint each and at the end of the interview I asked for a pic to send to my Pa, cause he's a fan of craft beer, and Bobby said, "Ya sure! Wanna come chug one behind the bar?" So obviously we didnt turn that down... a few 1/2 pints later and then Megan and me said thanks and headed home. Before we left I made sure to buy a growler full of Pumpkin beer though. Now it's 9pm and I am JUST getting over my mini hangover... I have to attempt to write a story with the interviews I got today. We'll see how that goes...

A Very Delayed Thanksgiving

Arriving at the School House in the dead of night... dum dum duuuuummm
As per usual Dennis left enough food for us to have a huge mac-and-cheese-and-beans-and-peanut -butter-banana-sandwich feast.
Notice also the lack of outerwear worn indoors this time.
Me taking a picture of you taking a picture of me...
Improvised uni-pod

Awesomeness
Slight struggle on the last leg of Devil's Point...
Hannah: "MEGAN - PUT. YOUR. BELLY. ON. THE. ROCK."
Megan: *struggles*
Hannah: "DO WHAT I SAY AND DONT START LAUGHING OR YOU'LL GET STUCK!"
Megan: *laughing and still struggling*
Hannah: "..."

Found a chair.

Awesome pre-thanksgiving dinner at Dennis'

Time to head home again. The trip was too short :(

Family dinner on Henry st. for those neglected children not lucky enough to go home. Still very delish.

Megan and Meaghan about to leave on our hike
Best hike everrrr!
I got my second N.S. film roll developped (finally...) It didnt turn out QUITE as well as the other one but I changed some of the really messed up ones into black and white and they fixed up nicely. I got a CD with the photos this time so I didn't have to scan them but it cost an extra $5 or something ridiuculous like that... not impressed, Black's... not impressed. It has been rainy here the last few days because of that pesky hurricaine Ophelia, but I dont mind all that much. It has just made it a tad easier to stay inside and do homework all day. Everyone has had a stupid work load this weekend. I have a bibligoraphy and outline due for my 25 page paper this Friday! Eep! Meaghan is working on her honours thesis, Teagan has about a bajillion midterms this week, and I think Lynsey's got a few as well. This coming weekend will be ok for work (thank goodness) and I called uncle Dennis yesterday and he says we can come up to the cottage yay! So far it's me, Sissy, Meaghan, and Bridget going. Megan hasn't confirmed if any of her friends are going yet. We'll probably just stay from Friday night til Sunday morning and then pop back to Halifax for Thanksgiving dinner and finish up any left over homework before the next week.

Catherine had her baby!

Catherine finally popped out her new baby on Wednesday. Its name is Sophie Lynn something and she's completely adorable! I haven't had a chance to talk to her much since it happened, but as far as I know everything went well and that's that! I'm very excited to meet it :)
We've finished our first week of school here in Halifax and it's been rather diffucult to get back into the swing of things. Megan got a job a sushi resteraunt and seems to be enjoying it well enough for now (correct me if I'm wrong, Megan!), but the tips should make up for any unpleasantness anyways.
I am too scared to get a job.. I have a really large paper this term (25 pages) and I"m not sure how I'll handle it. I also have to do a debate for my Vietnam class this semester and I"m worried about the very reall possibility of me either:
a) crying in class
b) throwing up on the opposing team
c) some other embarassing disaster befalling me...
Me and the roomies have gotten into a good gym schedual; a nice mix of early-morning runs and classes at the gym. We are going to "cardioblast" in half an hour.
That's all my news for now! Hopefully I'll ahve some more fun pictures to put up in the near future for your viewing entertainment.
Miss y'all!
